The Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet and SJ Suryah starrer, AR Murugadoss' spy thriller ' Spyder ' has reportedly officially crossed the $1.5 Million mark in the US.

This has made Mahesh Babu the only South Indian star to have had four films cross the $1.5 million mark in the US. While 'Spyder' received mixed reviews from critics and audience alike and it is expected to have affected the film's business in India, the film had a pretty poor weekend.

Previously, it was his films 'Srimanthudu', 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' and 'Dookudu' that had crossed this mark. On Tuesday, the 7th day of its release, the movie managed to rake in $22,108, making the total gross $1,500,044. 'Spyder' had faced tough competition from Sharwanand and Mehreen Pirzada starrer Maruthi's 'Mahanubhavudu' and Jr NTR, Nivetha Thomas and Raashi Khanna starrer 'Jai Lava Kusa'. The latter has also managed to cross the $1.5 million mark in the US.

The movie has now become the 17th highest grossing film in North America and the 7th highest Telugu grosser in the US box office in 2017.
